Jack Kilby

Jack Kilby was a pioneering engineer best known for helping invent the integrated circuit — one of the most important breakthroughs in the history of electronics and computing.
Inventing the Integrated Circuit
In 1958, while working at Texas Instruments, Kilby demonstrated an electronic circuit where multiple components could exist on a single piece of semiconductor material.
